New Worldcoin and FWB partnership explores the “Paradox of Personhood”

Worldcoin was created to help build a more human internet and a more inclusive digital economy. That ethos aligns with the founding principles of Friends With Benefits (FWB), a new kind of social network DAO working with creatives and builders to platform the better internet. 

Now for the first time, Worldcoin and FWB are coming together to explore what it means to be human in the age of AI. The inaugural partnership, dubbed “The Paradox of Personhood”, will take place at Feria Material, Vol. 10 during Mexico City’s Art Week. 

Throughout Feria Material, the Orb, Worldcoin’s custom device that verifies humanness and sits at the center of the World ID protocol, will help inspire and inform discussions around the transformative ideas that are rapidly shaping the world around us. For example, what does it mean to be a human in a world where humanness is digitally verified through a cryptographically secure, open source protocol? And how can we include more humans in systems that have historically been inaccessible to them?

“The art world pushes social discourse through creative expression and imagination,” said Greg Bresnitz, CEO FWB. “We’re excited to bring Worldcoin to Feria Material for exactly that reason.”

Worldcoin’s participation at Feria Material, Vol 10 will also give contributing team members the opportunity to engage in-depth with the community in Mexico City, informing how the project continues to grow and develop after recently passing 3 million verified community members.
