Key leaders from Worldcoin contributor Tools for Humanity (TFH) will be in South Korea for Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2024 to lay out their vision for the future of digital identity and highlight some of the advanced technologies enabling the project’s robust privacy protections.

On September 3, Alex Blania, CEO and co-founder of TFH, will participate in his first Korean press conference at The Wine Collective in Seongsu. During his deep dive into Worldcoin, he’ll discuss the Worldcoin project’s mission to help prepare humanity for the age of AI and explain the project’s most important components such as World ID and World Chain.

On September 4, Alex will participate in a fireside chat at KBW 2024: IMPACT, hosted at Vista Walkerhill Seoul. Here he’ll lay out Worldcoin’s mission to help everyone access the global economy and distinguish between bots and humans online in the age of AI.

That same day, TFH Chief Privacy Officer Damien Kieran will hold a press conference at The Plaza Hotel to clearly outline not only the Worldcoin project’s commitment to privacy and security, but cutting edge and advanced technologies like ZKPs and cryptography-based SMPC that are employed to protect user data and keep it anonymous.

On September 5, Alex will speak at AI World discussing the need for and benefits of establishing humanness online in the age of AI.

Why it matters

As AI advances, distinguishing between humans and machines online is more critical than ever. This is the catalyst that brought Worldcoin to life.

TFH’s leadership visit to Korea highlights the country's strategic role in adopting these cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the wake of a new survey that shows that 91% of World ID holders in the country believe that technology that differentiates between humans and bots online, like World ID, is necessary.

“Distinguishing between humans and AI is becoming one of the most critical challenges of our time,” said Alex Blania. “The people of South Korea are uniquely positioned to lead in embracing groundbreaking innovations like World ID, and I’m eager to share more about the importance of preserving humanness in the AI era.”
