About the Team:

The Data Science team is responsible for deriving data-driven insights to support Worldcoin’s key decisions. Because of our unique growth model of using a global network of Orb Operators to give a free share of Worldcoin to everyone on Earth, we require a high-performing Data Science team that is able to manage and analyze large amounts of data generated by the Orb, by the Worldcoin app, and by on-chain activity. In particular, the team’s responsibilities include (1) business intelligence, (2) statistics, and (3) data engineering.

About the Opportunity:

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for innovating and introducing new data transformation solutions to continuously improve our ability to derive insights from our data. You will act as the bridge between the data engineers and the data scientists and analysts. You will be part of a team that will be a service provider for many other teams at Worldcoin (in particular Fraud and Risk Analytics, Product, Market Operations, and Blockchain).

In this role, you will:

• Implement and own the data transformation code
• Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code
• Create clean, curated and reusable datasets for consumption by the data science team, the fraud analytics team, and the business intelligence team 
• Set up monitoring, testing and automation for the data transformation steps
• Specify the requirements for the technical infrastructure necessary for data transformation
• Document and maintain the data assets

About You:

• Degree in a quantitative field like computer science, physics, or similar, or relevant work experience
• 6+ years of hands-on work experience as an analytics engineer or in a similar role
• Excellent programming skills in SQL
• Significant programming experience in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
• Experience working with data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake 
• Experience with BI tools like Metabase, Tableau or Looker
• Skilled at managing cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple teams
• Practically oriented and “getting-the-job-done” mindset
• Thriving in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
• Experience with dbt a plus
• Experience with data architecture a plus
• Experience with Blockchain technology a plus
