About the Team:

The Hardware team at Worldcoin is responsible for all aspects of driving the engineering and manufacturing of world-class hardware devices reaching billions of people. We work cross-functionally with our industrial design, optics, software, growth, and finance teams to define product requirements and execute on development.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking to scale the hardware team as we exit the prototype phase and bring our product to mass manufacturing. In this role, you will: 

  • Own the design of electronic and electromechanical systems, including research, design, prototyping, testing and validation, DFM, and production ramp-up
  • Solve problems across technical domains and the product development lifecycle, from early-stage research to field failures of products in mass production.
  • Traveling internationally to support engineering and production builds as well as to audit suppliers

About You:

  • 4+yrs experience and track record in bringing products involving injection molded parts and/or metal parts to scale (>100k units)  
  • Experience with CAD design (Solid works preferred)
  • Experience with direct communication with potential contract manufacturers and/or vendors
  • Experience with cost optimizing a design involving manual assembly
  • Basic knowledge about an assembly-line setup
  • Experience in designing a product involving electronic parts
