About the Team:

The security team analyzes threats and makes fixes to neutralize them. We consider many threats ranging from classic network attacks, presentation attacks, and hardware security. Our multidisciplinary team is a mix of analysts and engineers to ensure we can both discover threats and provide realistic solutions.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a senior hardware security engineer ensure the integrity of a novel IoT device deployed in unsecured environments to solve the “unique human” problem that has foiled previous attempts at a “fair launch.” The device will be able to biometrically verify newcomers to the network under adversarial conditions, while simultaneously preserving privacy in an auditable manner. In this role you will:

  • Make our device secure at the hardware level by collaborating with other security engineers and internal teams to find the most appropriate solutions under the device’s constraints. 
  • Map the threats around the device and understand the trade-offs between different solutions.
  • Investigate hardware security on our device.
  • Implement security counter-measures
  • Investigate different solutions to find cost-effective and scalable options.
  • Collaborate closely with the hardware and firmware teams to come up with defenses.
  • Continuously monitor and react to attacks during our product lifecycle.
  • Find creative solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in the hardware security field.
  • Experience researching and implementing a security solution for a production device.
  • Familiarity with embedded devices.
  • Experience in state-of-the-art defenses at the chip-level and board-level.
  • Familiarity with red teaming and bounty programs.
